The city of Palma de Mallorca was facing problems with outdated and inefficient signage, worsened with the incorporation of new designs that caused confusion and visual contamination , and that didn’t decongest the old town either.

The Challenge

To make a tourism audit and implement innovative solutions in the tourism signage of Palma de Mallorca. The main objective is to make the city’s historical centre known.


Conceptualization and definition of storytellings for each zone, localisation of tourism resources and pedestrian flows, tourism management, creation of new routes, and design of the tourism signage in the city’s centre.


Creation of thematic routes using technological resources that allow redirecting visitors’ attention towards less known resources. Creation of signage that respects the heritage, that is inclusive and that is linked to the information stored in the cloud.
