Seventy professionals met last December 1rst in El Palauet Barcelona. The event was developed during the celebration of the international fair IBTM 2021 and had the purpose of discovering the attractions of Sardinia from the centre of Barcelona’s Eixample neighborhood.
The emblematic modernist building was chosen for the celebration of this private event thought to facilitate the dialog between travel agencies, tour operators, journalists, bloggers, and a delegation of enterprises and representatives of the Sardinian Region who came to attend the IBTM fair. Under the name of SardegnaXperience, Inmedia was responsible for delighting the assistants with a sensorial tour that included a degustation of Sardinian gin and honey, hand massages with salt from the Conte Vecchi salt flats, and a show cooking session where Daniela Biancu, cooker of the restaurant Can Sardi in Barcelona, showed her tricks to knead culurgioni (typical Sardinian pasty).
In addition to promoting the networking, the event included a presentation of Sardinia as the ideal destination for MICE tourism, a market that has in IBTM one of his most relevant meeting points. After the presentation, it came the moment of the gastronomic tasting. The dinner was elaborated by Pierlugui Fais, who arrived from Cagliari just for the occasion. The Josto restaurant’s chef satisfied the guests with a menu elaborated with local products from the island paired with craft beers. Fais offered a demonstration of his cooking abilities, awarded with a mention in the Michelin guide.
