This week, Inmedia Solutions has been in Kosice (Slovakia) participating in the second partner meeting of the European project Off The Beaten Track Erasmus+, which aims to empower and improve the employability of adult women (over 30 years old) who are at risk of losing or have lost their jobs and income as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, exploring the link between tourism, sustainable development and creativity.
During the sessions, the advances in the different areas of the project and in the tasks carried out by the different partners of the partnership were presented. One of the most important, led by Inmedia, will be the development of the virtual platform, a space that will serve to create a community of women from the cultural industries and tourism sectors at a European level, and in which the exchange of knowledge and training resources.
Another aspect that has been developed during the first weeks of the project and that has been widely discussed in Kosice is the methodology that will be used in the mentoring circles sessions based on the design thinking to inspire determined women to undertake in the fields of tourism and cultural industries. To this end, there will be the presence of women entrepreneurs (baptized as women changemakers in the context of the project) from these sectors, who will share their stories, learnings and experiences acquired throughout their professional careers.
The mentoring circles will take place at the national level in the partner countries: Italy, Slovakia, Estonia and Spain. At least one of these national mentoring circles is planned to be held in Barcelona during the first quarter of 2023.
In January, Barcelona will also host the next international meeting of the partnership, although under a different format: specific training for the professionals who will moderate the mentoring circles.
